Resolution of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania on the Planning Requirements of ACT 241 - Pennsylvania Solid Waste Management Act, Approved July 31, 1968

Whereas, the General Assembly of Pennsylvania has passed the Pennsylvania solid Waste Management Act, Act 241, and it was signed into law by the Governor of the commonwealth, and

Whereas, the Board of County commissioners of the County of Westmoreland have offered to prepare the plan for the 63 cities, townships, and boroughs in the county, on a County-wide basis at no cost to cities, townships, and boroughs.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That the council of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland County, hereby agrees that the planning requirements of ACT 241 should be accomplished at the County level, on a County-wise basis, and that the Council of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland county, will cooperate in the preparation of such a plan.

Be It Further Resolved That the plan prepared for Westmoreland county, including the Borough of Bolivar, will be reviewed by the borough of Bolivar and that the plan will be submitted to the Department of Health by the county only after it has been approved by the Borough of Bolivar.

Enacted into a Resolution of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland County, this 5th day of May AD 1969
