A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF BOLIVAR, COUNTY OF WESTMORELAND AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA ADJUSTING THE SALARY OF THE SOLICITOR.

WHEREAS, the Borough of Bolivar employees a Solicitor.

WHEREAS, the Solicitor is currently compensated at a rate of $90 per hour.

WHEREAS, the Borough Council desires to increase this rate to $125 per hour.

WHEREAS, Pennsylvania's Borough Code at 8 Pa. C.S.A. § 1006 (6) empowers the Borough Council to "fix the compensation of all the Borough officers, appointees and employees"

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Borough of Bolivar of Westmoreland County hereby raises the rate of the Solicitor's compensation from $90 per hour to $125 per hour, effective on January 1, 2025.
