Amendment to Ordinance 74-4 -Burning Ordinance

At a regular monthly meeting of the Bolivar Borough Council held on June 1 1981 the following Resolution was approved.

Resolved: to make an exception to Ordinance 74-4 (Section 5). The prevention and Control of Air Pollution and Defining Certain Terms Used.

Be it Resolved, and is Hereby Resolved, to make an exception to Section (5) Clause (1) of Ordinance # 1974 -4 to permit burning in the Borough of Bolivar, Pennsylvania, on Saturday only, except Holidays, during the hours of daylight, to dusk only.

Burning of paper, leaves, brush only, no hazardous or flammable materials. To be be placed in a container.

All fires must be extinguished at dark, or a fine of Twenty-five ($25.00) dollars will be assessed for the first violation, and not less than fifty- ($50.00) dollars nor more than two hundred ($200.00) dollars together with costs for the second and subsequent violations. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. In default of the payment of any fine, the defendant shall be sentenced to jail for a period not exceeding thirty(30) days.

Ordinance to be in effect at all other times. Effective August 12, 1981
