Unlawful to Operate
any Unlicensed
Wheeled Vehicle
on Streets
This Ordinance shall be enacted by the Council of the Borough of Bolivar at a regular meeting held March 7th 1983 at 7:30 PM at the Council meeting place, Bolivar Pennsylvania.
An Ordinance of Bolivar Borough, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, imposing and making it unlawful for any person to operate any unlicensed wheeled vehicle or snowmobile upon or across the streets, alleys, and sidewalks in the Borough of Bolivar or across the property owned by the Borough of Bolivar.
Whereas, the Council of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, has determined that for the maintenance of peace, good order, preservation of property, good government , and the safety and welfare of the Borough, it is required that it take appropriate action to impose restrictions upon unlicensed wheeled vehicles.
Now, therefore, be it ordained:
1. That on or after the date of this Ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any unlicensed wheeled vehicle or snowmobile upon or across the public sidewalks in the Borough of Bolivar or across other property owned by the Borough of Bolivar, other than the customary use of public streets and alleys.
2. This Ordinance shall be in addition to any provisions on the operation of Vehicles provided in the Motor Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
3. Any person who violates the provisions of this Ordinance, shall upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before a District Magistrate pay a fine of twenty-five ($25.00) and costs of the proceeding and in default thereof shall suffer imprisonment for a period not to exceed 30 days.
4. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after final passage.
