Kline's Department Store is located at 3rd and Washington Street. The building was erected in 1906. Over the years It served as a Clothing Store, had apartments in the upstairs portion, and served as a Volunteer Fire Department for Bolivar for many years. The building had a thriving Bowling Alley in the lower portion that was owned by Shine Robinson. Folks loved to use the duck pin's when bowling. In 2014 the Fire Company built a new Station on the corner of 3rd and Market Street, and sold the old building to a private owner . To this day you can still read the Kline Department Store Lettering on the side of the building. Although the front face of the building was changed when the Fire Department purchased it , the building still is a reminder of the good ole days.
