ORDINANCE NO. 3 OF 2022

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF BOLIVAR COUNCIL, COUNTY OF WESTMORELAND AND COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA ADOPTING

THE BUDGET FOR 2023 ESTABLISHING THE REAL ESTATE TAX RATE FOR

THE YEAR 2023

Whereas, the Borough of Bolivar ("the Borough") is authorized pursuant to the Borough Code (8 PA.C.S.§ 1302) to levy a tax for general revenue purposed upon the assessed value of real estate within the Borough; and

Whereas, the Borough has prepared and advertised a tentative budget for 2023 pursuant to §§1307 and 1308 of the Borough Code; and

Whereas, in order to establish sufficient revenues to meet anticipated Borough expenses, it is necessary to set tax rates;

NOW THEREFORE, the following is ordained and enacted:

1. The Bolivar Borough Budget for 2023 is set at $147,143.77

2. The Borough hereby established a tax upon the assessed value of real estate of 30.00 mills for general revenue purposed for calendar year 2023. The rate of taxation in dollars and cents on each $100.00 of assessed valuation of taxable property shall be $2.00

3. This Ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 2023

4. All prior ordinances or resolution in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
