Approval of Dec minutes

Motion made to approve Dec minutes made by Jessica, 2nd by Mellissa. All in favor motion passed.

Approval of treasurer report for Dec

Motion made to approve treasurer report made by Mellissa, 2nd by Jessica, all in favor motion passed.

Old Business

1. Update on play equipment for upper park.

 Mellissa said we received $668 from VFW New Florence.  This is designated for the upper park playground equipment. 

Pat said we currently have $20,951.81 saved up for the park. 

Mellissa said she would also like to have trex benches built into the ground. 

She also contacted Katrine Patroski from Foundation of Allegany’s.  This proposal is for the upper park project.  Would like it to go to Erie Insurance Program also. 

Mellissa said she has not sent out sponsorship letters yet. 

Pat said she also has the vendor list to send out now. 

2. Update on training for Elevon system and getting it put into system.. 

We will figure it out.

3.  Update on sponsorship letters for 2026 events

Brittany and I are working on.  We did get the fire company to donate their building for the science center. 

4.  Update on vendor letters for Brickfest 2026

Have not done yet. 

5.  Band cost quotes for 2026 concerts. Needs in-put into system for record so no changes later on price.

Mellissa to give Pat the cost of each band.  Need also the date, band name, and cost to put onto web site as soon as possible.

5.  Need final list of events to put into web site.

Date is July 24th 10 – to 1045 and another from 11 to 11:45 AM.  30 people per show.  $500 per person.  Jess motions for adults to pay and kids 12 & under are free, 2nd by Brittany Hughes, all in favor motion passed.  Each show is $290 dollars.  Each person is $5 and the kids give funds back at the time they come. 

Max per show is 30 people.    This is Kayman Science Center from Pittsburgh

New Business

  1. Profit and Loss Report for 2025

Reviewed by everyone and copy given to each person as well as the auditor.   Mellissa said she wants to give Sue a copy of the report so she can see what we actually earned and spent. 

  1.  $2500 startup fees from borough is transferred.

Approved by council on Jan 5th meeting. 

Meeting adjourned at 8:06 PM. 

Nothing else to discuss. 

Mellissa suggested we need to do something for American 250th Anniversary. 

Possible flags for sale. 

Has anyone seen the train that is going from West Coast and Eat Coast for the 250th?  It is thru Norfolk Southern, so it may come thru here. 

Sue suggested a DJ, food and Vendors all going on at the time.  Possible where old train station was.

We also attempted to contact the comedy night person and now we are ghosted. 

So no comedy night.

Possible trivia night to replace comedy night.  Sunday 6-8 or 7 – 9. 

Also December theme- Ginger Bread this year.  Enter as a family. 

Discussion was made on doing subs and pies and pizza.  Mellissa to contact vendors.  March 30 pickup date.
